"Sugabrahma Rishi" is the son of Vedhaviyasar and Kirudhasi. The word "Sugam" Means Parrot in tamil. His face look like a Parrot, so he was called as "Sugabrahma Rishi'. He learned all Vedas from his Child-Wood Days, So he neglected all the Mayai's and started his life towards of God. Then he reached this place where the Lord Siva appeared in the form of big hill. Then he started Meditation in this hill. Therefore the one Part of the Mountain is called as "Sugabrahma Rishi Parvadham".
The Merciful Lord Shiva appeared in front of Sugabrahma Rishi.Then Sugabrahma Rishi prayed the lord shiva with his Devotion. He said to Lord Shiva that he got the Birth boon after seeing the Lord. So please give me the Liberation from this life(Which is the cycle of Death and Rebirth).
